How it started

Hi, my name is Gabriella, and I am the owner of Gioielli By Gabriella

Since I was little, you could find me anywhere from the playground to the kitchen table, making bracelets for my friends and family. At 10 years old, my journey in entrepreneurship began when I started making Swarovski crystal bracelets and asked my mom to show and sell them to her coworkers.

Years later, I became frustrated by the lack of a middle ground in jewelry and the fact that I could never find pieces that fit my wrist. One size fits all can't be the case in a world with millions of unique individuals. The choice shouldn’t be between an affordable piece you can wear once before it turns your skin green or shelling out big bucks for precious metals. There needed to be another option that didn’t end up in a landfill or cost a fortune.

I started researching and testing metals and stones until I found options that were not only accessible in cost but also high-quality. In 2020, when we were all spending our days at home, I decided to take the leap and open my Etsy store and, eventually, my own online store so that I could share my passion and creations with others looking for the same thing.

"Gioielli" (pronounced joy-el-lee) is the Italian word for jewelry. I chose this name because of what the Italian language means to me—connecting with friends and family across the world. You’ll find many pieces with Italian-inspired names, reflecting the place and the language that mean so much to me.
